Job Description
Black & Grey HR is hiring for a dynamic construction company in Dubai UAE. The Mechanical QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all mechanical systems including HVAC piping and plumbing installations meet project specifications quality standards and safety regulations. This role involves conducting inspections overseeing testing procedures and maintaining accurate documentation to support smooth project execution. The Key Responsibilities are:
Quality Control and Inspections:
Conduct inspections and oversee the installation of mechanical systems such as HVAC piping and fire protection.
Verify that all mechanical work aligns with approved shop drawings technical specifications and quality standards.
Review and approve materials equipment and relevant documentation for mechanical installations.
Testing and Verification:
Supervise and witness testing activities including pressure testing duct leakage testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
Identify any deviations from standards recommend corrective actions and ensure proper implementation.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive records of inspections test results and any nonconformance reports.
Prepare and submit detailed quality control reports and updates to the Senior Mechanical Engineer.
Compliance:
Ensure adherence to safety regulations project quality plans and industry mechanical codes.
Collaborate with contractors to address and resolve mechanical quality concerns promptly.
Requirements
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
At least 35 years of experience in mechanical QA/QC roles.
Prior work experience in South Africa is mandatory.
Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD Revit and QA/QC procedures for mechanical systems.
Strong understanding of HVAC plumbing and piping systems.
Ability to review technical documents material submittals and project specifications.
Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
