Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and talented Features Writer to join our Logistics Group contributing to the editorial success of Aviation Business and Logistics Middle East. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about aviation logistics and supply chain industries and thrives on delivering insightful highquality content.
Reporting to the Editor the Features Writer will create compelling features news interviews and analysis for both brands helping to grow their presence across print digital and social platforms.
The role also involves attending industry events traveling to key locations and getting a frontrow seat to the most exciting developments in aviation and logistics.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Research write and produce engaging features industry analysis interviews and news stories with a strong focus on aviation logistics and supply chain industries.
- Editorial Collaboration: Work closely with the Editor to align with the brand s strategy contribute ideas for content and support special editorial projects.
- Industry Expertise: Stay updated on the latest trends innovations and challenges in the aviation and logistics industries including airlines airports cargo operations supply chain and infrastructure.
- Travel and Coverage: Represent the brand at industry events press trips and conferences across the region and beyond. Report directly from site visits launches and aviation hubs producing rich ontheground content.
- MultiPlatform Writing: Create content that works seamlessly across print web social media and newsletters adapting tone and format for each platform.
- Interviews and Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct interviews with senior executives thought leaders and industry insiders to deliver exclusive indepth features and insights.
- SEO and Analytics: Optimize digital content for SEO and use analytics to understand performance and improve reach and engagement.
- Audience Growth: Collaborate with the editorial and digital teams to grow audiences across multiple platforms including social media and newsletters.
- Event Coverage: Attend and report on major conferences trade shows and summits producing live updates postevent reports and special feature content.
- Deadline Management: Balance multiple assignments while consistently meeting deadlines and maintaining high editorial standards.
- Writing Excellence: Proven ability to write engaging accurate and wellresearched features with a flair for storytelling and analysis.
- Passion for Aviation and Logistics: A strong interest in aviation airlines cargo logistics and the supply chain industries is essential. Knowledge of B2B publishing is a bonus.
- Editorial Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a journalistic or editorial role ideally covering aviation logistics business or related fields.
- Travel Enthusiasm: Willingness to travel regionally and internationally to cover events visit facilities and produce exclusive content.
- Digital Savvy: Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) SEO best practices and social media tools for promoting and distributing content.
- Research Skills: Strong ability to research complex topics and translate them into accessible engaging content for a professional audience.
- Adaptability: Capable of writing for diverse platforms including longform print features shortform web articles and social media posts.
- Collaboration: Skilled in working within a team environment and collaborating with editors designers and commercial teams to deliver impactful content.
- Time Management: Ability to handle multiple deadlines and assignments with efficiency and attention to detail.
- Event Enthusiasm: Comfortable representing the brand at events and conducting interviews in fastpaced environments..
