Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Pipeline Designer to support the detailed engineering phase of a major onshore oil and gas project. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in pipeline design drafting and modeling ensuring alignment with industry standards and project requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare detailed pipeline design deliverables including alignment sheets route drawings isometrics and construction drawings.
- Develop and update 3D models for pipeline systems using software such as AutoCAD MicroStation or SmartPlant 3D.
- Ensure pipeline routing and layouts are optimized for safety efficiency and constructability.
- Incorporate relevant pipeline codes standards (e.g. ASME API) and client specifications into designs.
- Assist in conducting pipeline stress analysis material selection and wall thickness calculations.
- Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated and clashfree designs.
- Review vendor drawings and technical specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Provide technical support during project phases including procurement fabrication and construction.
- Maintain and organize design documentation for traceability and project audits.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Drafting or a related field.
- 510 years of experience as a Pipeline Designer for largescale onshore oil and gas projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD MicroStation SmartPlant 3D or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of pipeline design standards (e.g. ASME B31.4 ASME B31.8 API 1104).
- Familiarity with pipeline routing alignment sheets and topographical integration.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams on complex engineering projects.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver highquality deliverables under tight deadlines.
