Roles and responsibilities
Maintain and administer highly available and secured data and voice networks and related computing environments Ensure the availability, uptime and performance and quality of the Network Systems and services, provide enterprise-wide support for complex network systems and interconnected technologies that require day-to-day support to maintain optimum performance and utilization of network devices and services, involve in troubleshooting (Incident diagnose and analysis) to identify and resolve network issues quickly and accurately, Ensure network devices schedule backups.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, B. Tech, BE, MCA, BSc, or related Information System is mandatory.
- IT Certifications CCNA and CCNP are mandatory.
- Preferred Certification in Cisco and Dell SDN Technologies.
- Preferred Certification in Network Automation technologies (Jenkins, Ansible, GitHub).
- Preferred Certification in Cloud Networking Technologies (Azure and OCI)
- Preferred Certification in Aruba Network Technologies (NAC, Wireless and SDWAN).
Experience/ Knowledge (Essential)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in handling / troubleshooting Network infrastructure, Services, and network projects, have good knowledge on
Cisco switches and routers, Nexus switches, Cisco ACI, Cisco ISE, Wan optimizers. Good knowledge and experience on SDN technology.
- Must have good experience in troubleshooting, Resolving, and working on RCAs for critical issues, Strong knowledge of networking principals and protocols.
- Must have expert level knowledge in Static and Dynamic routing protocols, Nat, DMVPN, Multicast concepts, QOS concepts.
- Must have experience in managing datacenter network and branch network.
- Experience on Aruba wireless and CPPM management.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: The skills, knowledge, and experience specific to the job in question
- Must have experience in managing Wan optimizer (Preference Silverpeak).
- Must have experience working with NMS tools e.g. SolarWinds.
- Willing to work 24/7 support in operations role and attitude to extending beyond to support whenever there is a demand and in crisis. The person should be analytical
and should have good problem-solving skills.
- Experience in working with troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, DNS troubleshooting tools etc.
- Ability to learn new technologies and implement them successfully.

Desired candidate profile
1. Network Configuration & Installation
- Setting up and configuring network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Installation of network software, operating systems, and firmware.
- Configuring IP addresses, subnetting, and VLANs.
2. Network Troubleshooting & Maintenance
- Diagnosing and resolving network issues related to connectivity, performance, or security.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software problems with network devices and ensuring the network runs optimally.
- Monitoring network performance, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing network traffic.
- Addressing issues like packet loss, latency, or dropped connections.
3. Network Security & Monitoring
- Ensuring the security of the network, including configuring firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Regularly updating security patches and software on network devices.
- Monitoring network traffic for unusual activity and preventing unauthorized access.
- Performing regular backups and recovery procedures for network configurations and data.
4. LAN/WAN & VPN Support
- Configuring and managing Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs).
- Setting up and supporting Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) for remote access.
- Ensuring efficient and secure communication across different geographical locations.
5. Network Performance Optimization
- Optimizing network speed and efficiency by adjusting configurations, prioritizing traffic, and ensuring proper bandwidth distribution.
- Analyzing and managing network load balancing to distribute traffic effectively across multiple devices or links.
- Using network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG) to diagnose issues and identify performance improvements.
6. Router, Switch, and Firewall Configuration
- Proficiency in configuring routers, switches, and firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto).
- Setting up routing protocols like OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
- Managing VLANs, NAT (Network Address Translation), and ACLs (Access Control Lists) for secure and efficient traffic flow.
7. Knowledge of Network Protocols
- Understanding key network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, FTP, SMTP, and SNMP.
- Familiarity with OSI model layers and how they relate to networking.
8. Wireless Networking
- Configuring and troubleshooting wireless networks, including setting up Wi-Fi routers, access points, and ensuring proper wireless coverage.
- Understanding wireless protocols (e.g., 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and how to optimize wireless network performance.
