Roles and responsibilities
- Design Creation & Production:
- Develop and design a variety of high-quality visual materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, banners, digital ads, social media assets, and in-room displays, ensuring they align with the hotel’s luxury brand.
- Update and maintain marketing collateral, ensuring consistency across all platforms (print and digital).
- Digital Content Development:
- Create visually compelling graphics for the hotel’s website, email marketing campaigns, and social media channels.
- Collaborate with the digital marketing team to create engaging visual content that supports online promotions and seasonal offers.
- Brand Consistency & Management:
- Ensure all design work adheres to InterContinental Abu Dhabi’s brand guidelines and maintains a premium, cohesive aesthetic across all materials.
- Regularly review and update hotel branding elements, ensuring design excellence across all touchpoints.
- Collaborative Teamwork:
- Collaborate together with our marketing and sales teams to develop branding and design elements for our restaurants, such as menus, advertising, and event supplies, that capture the unique character and selection of each location.
- Provide design support for internal and external communications, including event invitations, signage, and presentations.
- Photo and Video Editing:
- Edit and retouch photographs for marketing materials, ensuring high-quality images that reflect the hotel’s luxury atmosphere.
- Assist in creating promotional videos and animations, enhancing guest experiences both online and on-property.
- Project Management & Workflow:
- Manage design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and meeting deadlines.
- Work closely with external vendors when necessary, ensuring high-quality production of printed materials and signage.
- Stay Updated with Design Trends:
- Continuously explore new design trends, tools, and techniques to keep the hotel’s visual content fresh and innovative.
- Provide creative input in team brainstorming sessions to enhance overall marketing strategies.
What We need from you:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- 3+ years of graphic design expertise, ideally with luxury hospitality, fashion, or lifestyle firms.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.)
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
- Knowledge of web design and digital marketing trends.
- Ability to create print-ready designs and understand production processes.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design work, especially for luxury brands or hospitality settings.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Experience with video editing and motion graphics is a plus.

- Brand Guidelines: Developing and maintaining brand guidelines, ensuring that design elements (such as fonts, colors, and logos) are consistently used across all marketing materials and platforms.
- Packaging Design: Designing packaging that not only attracts attention but also communicates the brand’s values, product details, and functionality.
3. Digital and Print Design
- Print Materials: Designing print materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, business cards, and banners. Ensuring designs are suitable for printing and adhere to the technical specifications required by printers.
- Web and App Design: Designing user interfaces (UI) for websites and mobile apps, focusing on user experience (UX) and ensuring the designs are responsive, visually appealing, and functional across devices.
- Social Media Graphics: Creating visually engaging graphics for social media platforms, including posts, stories, and cover photos that align with the brand’s identity.
4. Collaboration and Client Communication
- Client Meetings: Communicating with clients to understand their needs, goals, and preferences for design projects. Discussing and presenting initial concepts, revisions, and final designs.
- Feedback and Revisions: Receiving feedback from clients, stakeholders, or team members and making necessary revisions to designs based on that input.
- Collaboration with Teams: Working closely with marketing teams, content creators, copywriters, and other departments to ensure that designs align with overall marketing strategies and objectives.
5. Project Management and Time Management
- Project Planning: Managing multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring that each one is completed on time and within budget.
- Deadline Management: Prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines, especially when working on several projects with different timelines.
- Organizing Files: Keeping design files organized and easily accessible for future reference or revisions.
6. Technical Expertise
- Software Proficiency: Mastery of industry-standard design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Sketch, Figma, and other design tools.
- File Formats: Understanding different file formats (JPEG, PNG, SVG, EPS, PDF) and their appropriate uses for digital or print media.
- Print Specifications: Knowledge of print production processes, including resolution, color models (RGB vs. CMYK), and bleed areas.
