Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

As a Sales Executive you are responsible to implement all sales activities and maximize business opportunities in your specific area of responsibility – under the general guidance of the Director of Sales and Marketing.

  • Generate and maintain customers of the corporate segment through various sales activities (face-to-face sales calls, telephone calls, entertainment, site inspections, etc); thus ensure complete coverage of own portfolio of accounts and achieve targets and maximum productivity
  • Have comprehensive and up to date knowledge of all the properties’ unique selling points, features, amenities, services and policies
  • Update the hotels on the negotiation / progress of every business deal and use the technology available for reports, communication and client correspondences
  • Provide feedback to the Director of Sales & Marketing on changing market conditions, review direct competition and conduct regular research
  • Participate in any Training / Development schemes as recommended by the Senior Management

Ideally, you'll have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Hotel Corporate Sales role in a four or five-star hotel or comparable industry, ability to demonstrate working with and engaging teams from different cultures, strong verbal and written communication skills along with being quality oriented with focus on details, high performance standards, able to multi-task & meet deadlines and technical proficiency in related software preferable.

  • A deep understanding of the products or services being offered, including their features, benefits, and potential applications.
  • Staying up to date with industry trends and market conditions to effectively communicate product value to clients.
  • Identifying the unique selling points (USPs) of products and communicating them effectively to clients.

4. Communication and Presentation Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and management.
  • Ability to present products or services in a compelling and professional manner.
  • Ability to listen attentively to clients’ needs and concerns and respond appropriately.
  • Skilled at preparing and delivering effective sales presentations to potential clients.

5. Negotiation Skills

  • Skilled in negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Handling objections effectively and finding creative solutions to overcome client concerns.
  • Maintaining a balance between meeting client needs and achieving company objectives.

6. Goal-Oriented and Self-Motivated

  • Working towards set sales targets and consistently achieving or exceeding them.
  • Ability to stay motivated and focused even in challenging situations or when facing rejection.
  • Managing time effectively to maximize sales opportunities and improve productivity.

7. Problem-Solving and Adaptability

  • Ability to identify client pain points and provide tailored solutions.
  • Adapting sales techniques to different customer personalities and preferences.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise during the sales process or post-sales.

8. Market Research and Analysis

  • Conducting market research to identify potential clients, new trends, and competitor activities.
  • Analyzing data and sales reports to adjust sales strategies and improve performance.
  • Keeping track of industry trends, competitor products, and market demands to stay competitive.

9. CRM Software Proficiency

  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to track leads, sales activities, and client information.
  • Using CRM tools to maintain organized records of interactions, sales pipelines, and client follow-ups.
