Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Administer and support the Integrated Project Management System (IPMS), KBR’s in-house supply chain application, ensuring it effectively meets operational needs.
  • Analyze business processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop tailored IT solutions.
  • Manage system configurations, system testing, and ensure adherence to IT change management processes.
  • Monitor and manage API integrations with internal and external applications for seamless functionality.
  • Create and review SQL queries for data extraction and develop detailed reports for internal and external customers.
  • Coordinate the documentation and implementation of IT processes to ensure smooth system operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define objectives, scope work, and act as a liaison between users and technical teams.
  • Stay informed on advancements in IT systems and recommend modernization strategies for existing processes.
  • Lead project reviews and develop strategies for optimization and efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT systems administration or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL query creation and review, with a strong understanding of database relationships.
  • Experience in supply chain management systems and processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI or comparable reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • Advanced technical skills with hands-on experience in API integration and data system optimization.
  • Familiarity with IT project management methodologies and documentation standards.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment.

Technical Skills:

  1. System Administration:

    • Proficiency in managing operating systems, including Windows Server, Linux, and macOS.
    • Experience with Active Directory (AD), Group Policy Objects (GPO), and domain management.
  2. Network Management:

    • Understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls.
    • Hands-on experience with routers, switches, and network monitoring tools.
  3. Virtualization and Cloud Computing:

    • Knowledge of virtualization platforms like VMware, Hyper-V, or Citrix.
    • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
  4. System Security:

    • Expertise in implementing and managing backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Acronis).
    • Disaster recovery planning and execution.

    • Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automating tasks.
    • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  7. Database Management:

    • Basic knowledge of database systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle.
    • Understanding of database backup and optimization techniques.

  1. Problem-Solving:

    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
    • Analytical thinking for diagnosing complex IT problems.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with non-technical users and document processes.
