Logistics Coordinator

Roles and responsibilities

• Coordinate Material Flow: Expedite the flow of material, parts, and assemblies under minimal supervision, ensuring efficient progression and processing.
• Establish Deadlines: Set and communicate clear deadlines for the delivery of all logistics-related deliverables.
• Verify Shipments: Check the accuracy of both incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring they adhere to specified rates and standards.
• Maintain Records: Keep meticulous records related to shipping and receiving, including stamping containers with identification and shipping details.
• Vendor Communication: Regularly contact vendors via mail, phone, or direct visits to requisition materials and confirm the shipment of goods on promised dates.
• Arrange Distribution: Oversee and coordinate the distribution of materials upon their arrival to ensure a smooth logistics process.
• Inspect Products: Conduct quality and quantity inspections on products to ensure they meet the specified requirements and specifications.
• Support Customer Satisfaction: Work actively towards meeting schedules and supporting requirements to boost customer satisfaction.
• Resolve Problems: Handle common logistical problems and questions, referring more complex issues to Title: Interface Engineer

KBR is looking for Interface Engineer for a PMC project to be based in– Abu Dhabi UAE

Experience OR Qualifications

• Minimum Overall 10+ years of oil & gas experience.
• Must have at least 3 to 5 Years experience working in Gas Processing and Gas Compression projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a MUST.
• FEED experience is a must.
• PMC & ADNOC experience is an added advantage.
• GCC experience required.

Desired candidate profile

Technical Skills

1. Supply Chain Management: Understanding of logistics, procurement, warehousing, and transportation processes.
2. Inventory Management: Expertise in tracking and maintaining inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
3. Logistics Software: Proficiency with tools such as SAP, Oracle, or WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
4. Route Optimization: Planning efficient delivery routes to save time and reduce costs.
5. Shipping and Receiving: Knowledge of freight forwarding, customs regulations, and handling shipping documentation (e.g., BOLs, packing lists).

Organizational Skills

1. Time Management: Coordinating schedules to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
2. Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in records, invoices, and shipping documents.
3. Multitasking: Managing multiple shipments, vendors, and tasks simultaneously.
4. Problem-Solving: Quickly addressing and resolving logistical issues or delays.

1. Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to liaise with suppliers, drivers, and clients.
2. Negotiation: Securing cost-effective rates with carriers and vendors.
