Roles and responsibilities
The Graphic Designer is responsible to direct and oversee the creation of visual merchandising designs, concepts and sample layouts ensuring adherence Brand guidelines.
ROLE PROFILE
- Participate in the development of the business unit Creative strategy by providing input from the perspective of the Graphic Design, ensuring that relevant goals and objectives are incorporated
- Review the budget requirements of the Graphic Design function, and accordingly participate in the development of Brand’s budget.
- Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer need in other Majid Al Futtaim Fashion brands and stores, if not available instore.
- Plan and implement graphic design elements in a large-scale execution such as creative campaigns, store take over, in-store set up, pop up stores, mall podiums, marketing collaterals
- Ensure the implementation of and conformance to established Visual Merchandising and Store Graphic Design Policies and Procedures, identifying opportunities for continuous
- Build strong partnerships with members of the cross-functional teams such as, Buyers and Visual Merchandisers strengthening internal customer relationships
- Creation of designs, creative concepts and sample layouts
- Ensure the implementation of and conformance to established Visual Merchandising and Store Graphic Design Policies and Procedures, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design or Commercial Art or Graphic Design
- 4-5 years of experience as a Graphic Designer
- Experience in a retail industry is an advantage
- Must have an agency or Retail background
- ATL & BTL experience is required

- Web Design Tools: Familiarity with web design software like Sketch, Figma, and Adobe XD for creating UI/UX designs.
- Motion Graphics Software: Skills in After Effects or similar tools for creating animated or video-based graphics.
- 3D Design Software: Understanding of tools like Blender or Cinema 4D for creating three-dimensional designs if necessary.
- Prototyping Tools: Ability to use tools like InVision or Marvel for creating interactive designs or mockups.

- Concept Development: Ability to come up with fresh and innovative ideas that align with client objectives and resonate with the target audience.
- Problem-Solving: Using creativity to solve design challenges while maintaining functionality and visual appeal.

4. Branding and Identity
- Logo Design: Creating unique logos that represent the essence of a brand and work well across various media.
- Brand Consistency: Maintaining consistent design elements (color schemes, fonts, imagery) across all brand materials to create a unified identity.
- Marketing Collateral: Designing brochures, flyers, posters, social media graphics, and other marketing materials that align with brand guidelines.
5. User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX)
- Wireframing: Knowledge of creating wireframes and prototypes to map out user interfaces.
- Responsive Design: Ensuring designs are adaptable across different screen sizes and devices, particularly for web and mobile.
- UX Research: Understanding user needs and preferences to create intuitive, easy-to-use designs.
6. Communication Skills
- Client Interaction: Strong communication skills to understand client briefs, gather feedback, and present design ideas effectively.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work alongside other designers, marketers, and developers to ensure cohesive design solutions.
