Project Engineer MEP

• Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed project plans for MEP systems including timelines budgets and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (civil structural etc.) to integrate MEP systems into overall project designs.
• Review and analyze engineering designs specifications and technical drawings for MEP systems to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Provide technical support during the design phase including proposing modifications or solutions to technical challenges.
• Supervise the installation and commissioning of MEP systems onsite ensuring that work is completed safely on time and within budget.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during construction and installation.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Review and approve technical documentation and drawings submitted by contractors.
• Manage contractor performance ensuring that work meets quality and safety standards.
• Ensure that all MEP systems comply with local and international standards regulations and codes (e.g. ASME API NEC).
• Develop and implement quality control procedures to maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Monitor project budgets and costs related to MEP systems identifying any variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare and submit regular cost reports to project managers.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure that all MEP activities are carried out in compliance with HSE policies and regulations.
• Participate in safety audits risk assessments and incident investigations related to MEP systems.
• Maintain detailed records of project progress including site reports asbuilt drawings and change orders.
• Prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders highlighting key milestones and any issues.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Masters degree in Engineering or Project Management.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Experience with largescale oil and gas projects including offshore and onshore facilities.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP engineering within the oil and gas industry.

Additional Information :

• Strong knowledge of MEP systems including HVAC piping electrical systems fire protection and plumbing.
• Proficiency in engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD Revit HVAC design tools).
• Understanding of relevant standards and codes (e.g. ASME API NEC NFPA).
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with team members contractors and clients.
• Experience with HSE regulations and a commitment to safety.

• May involve working in harsh or remote environments with exposure to hazardous materials or extreme weather conditions.
• Will require frequent site visits and the ability to work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
