Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
Genomic Data Analysis:
- Analyze chromosome microarray results and NGSbased tests (e.g. targeted panel whole exome sequencing).
- Assess data quality using methods like Sanger sequencing and bioinformatics workflows.

- Conduct detailed literature reviews for variant and gene classification.
- Maintain internal genetic variant databases and adhere to ACMG guidelines.

- Draft diagnostic reports and support assay validations.
- Create technical documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

- Advocate for child safety report risks and uphold a culture of safety.
- Actively participate in safeguarding strategies and risk mitigation.
This role requires a strong technical background in genomic diagnostics effective teamwork attention to detail and a commitment to delivering highquality patientcentered care in a pediatric setting.
Requirements
Education & Experience
o MS or PhD in molecular biology biochemistry human genetics or related scientific field
o Indepth understanding of the genetic basis of hereditary disorders
o Work experience with commonly used public genomics datasets (1000 genomes ExAC
gnomAD OMIM ClinVar PharmGKB etc.)
o Knowledge of literature curation methodologies
o Preferred: Previous laboratory or research experience in a disease area genetic pathway or
genomic testing technology
o Understanding of bioinformatics tools and workflows used to identify genomic variants from next
generation sequencing data
o Prior experience working in a clinical diagnostic environment is a plus
Certification and Licensure
o Ability to qualify for UAE allied healthcare personnel licensure requirements
o Life Support and Advanced Life support Training
o American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) required OR Intermediate Life
Support (ILS)
o Positive enthusiastic and motivated individual
o Effective communication and interpersonal skills
o Team player
o Experience documenting in an electronic medical record an asset
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
o Ability to speak and write English is required
o Arabic language skills (spoken) an asset
o International English Language Test System (IELTS) a minimum score of 6.0 or equivalent.
The English Proficiency evidence must be valid and not exceed 2 years.
The Ideal Candidate would have: Education Bachelor s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Technical/Professional writing, or a related field. Master s degree preferred. Experience Must have over 10 years of experience in a senior communications role, healthcare experience preferred. Certifications/Other requirements as applicable Must be highly proficient in written and spoken English, particularly as related to the requirements of Journalism. Perceptive in handling matters of a confidential nature; adequate background in the cultures, traditions, and beliefs of the various nationalities of his readership.
