Receiving and Inspecting Goods:
- Oversee the receipt of shipments, ensuring products match purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Inspect goods for quality, quantity, and damage. Report any discrepancies or damages to the supplier or purchasing department.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during the receiving process.

Inventory Management:
- Manage the organization of received goods in storage areas, ensuring items are stored in the appropriate locations.
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming products, including SKU numbers, quantities, and condition.
- Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies to ensure inventory is aligned with physical counts.
- Ensure efficient use of space in the warehouse or receiving area to optimize storage capacity.

Supervising Staff:
- Supervise a team of receivers or warehouse workers to ensure timely and accurate receiving of goods.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on proper procedures for receiving, inspecting, and storing inventory.
- Assign tasks and ensure team productivity during peak periods.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain detailed records of all received goods, including supplier information, delivery dates, and quantities.
- Ensure accurate data entry in inventory management systems or software, tracking shipments and stock levels.
- Prepare reports on received goods, discrepancies, and inventory status for management.

Coordination with Other Departments:
- Work closely with purchasing, inventory control, and sales departments to ensure that products are available when needed.
- Communicate with vendors or suppliers regarding issues with deliveries or product quality.
- Collaborate with shipping and distribution teams to organize the movement of products from the receiving area to the appropriate locations.

Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards in all receiving operations.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the receiving area is clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Implement best practices for handling hazardous or fragile goods.

Managing Returns and Exchanges:
- Oversee the process for returning damaged, incorrect, or unsellable goods to vendors or suppliers.
- Ensure proper documentation is completed for returns and exchanges, tracking the status of such items.

As an Assistant Manager, Receiving you would assist with the day to day operation of the Receiving Department and all receiving to ensure that goods entering the property are as per specification, of the right quantity and without defects. P rovide a courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service consistent with Atlantis Dubai, policy & procedures.
About You
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is mandatory, along with a minimum of four years of experience, including at least two years at a supervisory level. The candidate should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with forklift certification being preferred. Additionally, strong leadership and problem-solving abilities are essential, along with proficiency in ERP solutions, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience in food handling is preferred.
