Requirements:
1. Product Knowledge
In-depth Product Expertise: A thorough understanding of the product's features, benefits, specifications, and the technology or processes behind it.
Competitive Knowledge: Awareness of competing products in the market and the ability to highlight unique selling points (USPs) to customers.
Lifecycle Management: Knowledge of the product lifecycle from development, launch, and growth stages to maturity and eventual phase-out.
2. Customer Focus
Customer Needs Analysis: Understanding customer needs and tailoring the product offering to meet those needs. This includes gathering feedback from customers and sales teams.
Product Recommendations: Recommending the right products to customers based on their specific requirements, including technical and non-technical aspects.
Customer Support: Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers regarding the product, ensuring they get the most value from it.
3. Sales and Marketing Support
Sales Enablement: Supporting the sales team with product information, training, and collateral to help them effectively sell the product.
Presentations and Demonstrations: Conducting product demonstrations and presentations for customers or internal teams to highlight key features and benefits.
Marketing Collaboration: Working with marketing teams to develop promotional materials, campaigns, and product positioning strategies to increase market penetration and sales.
4. Technical Skills (If applicable)
Technical Understanding: For tech-heavy products (e.g., software, machinery), a solid grasp of the technical aspects is essential to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Troubleshooting: Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve product-related issues or direct customers to the appropriate technical support team.
Documentation and Manuals: Assisting in creating user manuals, guides, FAQs, and other documentation to ensure customers and internal teams understand the product’s features and usage.
