We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and leading the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems and products.
Job Responsibility
- Lead a team of mechanical engineers in the design and development of new products.
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyze mechanical systems to determine project requirements.
- Create detailed design documentation, including 2D and 3D drawings, specifications, and test plans.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
Candidate Requirements
- MOFA attested Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer or similar role.
- Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.

Desired candidate profile
1. Design and Development
- Mechanical System Design: Lead the design of mechanical systems, components, and processes. Ensure designs are functional, efficient, and meet safety and performance standards.
- CAD and Simulation: Use advanced Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) to create 2D and 3D models of mechanical components. Perform simulations and analysis (stress, thermal, fluid flow, etc.) to ensure designs are optimal.
- Prototyping: Oversee the creation of prototypes and lead testing to validate designs. Make design improvements based on feedback and testing results.
2. Project Management and Leadership
- Project Leadership: Lead or manage mechanical engineering projects from concept through to completion. Oversee timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
- Team Supervision: Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff. Provide leadership in technical aspects, ensuring quality work and continuous improvement.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering disciplines (e.g., electrical, civil, structural) to ensure mechanical systems integrate smoothly within the overall project.
3. Analysis and Problem-Solving
- Problem Diagnosis: Identify mechanical failures or inefficiencies and develop corrective actions. Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for mechanical issues in systems or products.
- Technical Calculations: Perform necessary engineering calculations (e.g., load analysis, stress testing, thermodynamics) to verify that mechanical systems and components will function properly under anticipated conditions.
4. Testing and Quality Assurance
- Testing Procedures: Design and implement testing procedures for mechanical components, assemblies, and systems. Ensure that tests are carried out in compliance with industry standards.
- Compliance with Standards: Ensure that designs meet local and international standards (e.g., ASME, ISO, ASTM) and regulatory requirements. Perform inspections to verify that systems are properly built and function as expected.
- Quality Control: Establish and oversee quality control protocols during design, manufacturing, and installation to ensure reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
5. Technical Documentation and Reporting
- Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for all design, analysis, testing, and modification activities. Ensure that all calculations, drawings, and specifications are properly archived.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports, including findings, analyses, and recommendations. Communicate technical information effectively to stakeholders, clients, and senior management.
- Change Management: Manage and document any changes in project scope or design during the project lifecycle, including updating specifications and addressing design revisions.
6. Client Interaction and Consultations
- Client Liaison: Serve as a technical point of contact for clients, ensuring their requirements are met and providing technical solutions to any issues or challenges that arise.
- Consulting and Advisory: Provide technical consulting and expertise during the pre-sales phase, ensuring that designs and solutions align with client needs, feasibility, and budget constraints.
