Roles and responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems. The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading projects, providing technical expertise, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Job Responsibility
- Develop electrical system designs based on project requirements
- Lead project teams and provide guidance to junior engineers
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates for electrical projects
- Ensure that electrical systems meet safety and quality standards
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide timely solutions
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in electrical engineering
Candidate Requirements
- MOFA attested Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Proven experience in electrical design and project management
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Professional engineer (PE) license is a plus
- Familiarity with CAD software and other design tools

Desired candidate profile
1. Advanced Electrical Design and Analysis
- Circuit Design: Expertise in designing electrical circuits, systems, and layouts for various applications (e.g., power distribution, control systems, electronics, etc.).
- Power Systems: In-depth knowledge of power generation, transmission, distribution, and electrical grid systems, including renewable energy integration (solar, wind, etc.).
- Load Analysis: Ability to perform load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and fault studies to ensure the proper functioning of electrical systems.
- PLC and SCADA Systems: Expertise in designing and programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for industrial automation and control.
- Protection and Control: Knowledge of protective relays, electrical safety systems, and fault detection systems to ensure the protection of equipment and personnel.
- Signal Processing: Experience with signal processing techniques for communication systems and control systems.
2. Project Management and Leadership
- Project Design and Planning: Ability to lead the design and planning phase of electrical projects, ensuring all designs comply with technical specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements.
- Team Leadership: Managing and mentoring junior engineers, technical staff, and contractors. Leading cross-functional teams in the execution of large-scale projects.
- Budget and Resource Management: Managing project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively to meet project goals within the specified constraints.
- Risk Assessment: Identifying potential risks in design, installation, and operation phases, and developing strategies to mitigate them.
3. Regulatory and Compliance Knowledge
- Building Codes and Electrical Standards: In-depth knowledge of local, regional, and international electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC (National Electrical Code), IEC standards, IEEE).
- Safety Standards: Ensuring that electrical designs meet safety standards such as NFPA 70E, OSHA guidelines, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Environmental Compliance: Understanding of environmental laws related to energy consumption, waste management, and sustainable energy practices.
