Roles and responsibilities
Marketplace executive supports and assists the ECOM Manager across trading and merchandising, product content and online promotional activities across multiple categories for the Watsons website and marketplace.
The job holder will also be accountable for generating an augmented customer experience, developing and executing the Watsons brand image (DNA) into the market and provide a unique digital consumer experience.
What you will do: -
Description of Accountability:
- Drive Financial Targets
- Merchandising and Trading of e-Store/marketplace, maximising cross & up selling, conversion, and revenue,
- while managing stock levels for the website. Contribute new ideas to drive sales and conversion. Make sure that all the stocks, prices, pictures and offers are accurate for all the marketplace
- Responsible for daily/weekly management of products going live ensuring 100% accuracy of product content and assets. Identify slow performers and apply corrective measures.
- Assist the Head of department to deliver the weekly, monthly reporting/analysis, highlighting opportunities and risks. Identify the rejections for marketplace and immediately fix it with the stores and the partners
- Assist the Head of department to execute the Marketing and Promotional Plan, Emails, Social Media and Homepage content.
- Weekly/monthly competitor/market analysis highlighting opportunities and risks .
- Building strong relationship with internal teams. Excellent communicator within internal team to support correct timely execution
Required Skills to be successful:

- Results-orientated, with the ability to drive and deliver the implementation of new ideas
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office
- A high level of customer focus and the ability to understand customers’ needs
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with experience in producing trade reports and analysis
- Ability to learn new technology quickly
- Previous Shopify experience is preferred

- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years’ experience in a relevant Merchandising role preferably within a multi-channel retailer or pure play
- Excellent Site Merchandising Skills
- Experience of handling negotiations and being able to build strong relations across key stakeholders
Desired candidate profile

E-commerce & Marketplace Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of various online marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Etsy, Shopify, and others.
- Understanding of e-commerce platform features, algorithms, and listing optimization techniques (e.g., SEO for marketplaces, product categorization, keyword strategies).
- Familiarity with marketplace advertising tools (e.g., Amazon Sponsored Products, eBay Promoted Listings).

Operational Management:
- Strong operational skills, particularly in order fulfillment, inventory management, and logistics coordination.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), order management systems (OMS), and supply chain software.
- Ability to manage cross-functional operations, collaborating with teams such as marketing, customer service, and logistics to ensure smooth marketplace operations.

Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Proficient in analyzing marketplace sales data, customer behavior, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and insights.
- Experience with Excel, Google Analytics, or other reporting and analytics tools to measure performance and generate actionable insights.

- Strong focus on customer satisfaction, with the ability to manage and resolve customer inquiries, returns, and complaints efficiently.
- Ability to understand and address customer pain points to ensure a positive experience, improve ratings, and drive repeat business.
