Roles and responsibilities
The Spa Attendant ensure a smooth and efficient operation in maintaining the overall cleanliness, sanitation and orderliness of the Spa & Wellness area according to Mandarin Oriental quality standards and protocols while maintaining relations of quality, service, guest experience and discretion, fully focused towards guest delight.
Key Responsibilities
- Check, clean and set up all spa premises according to Mandarin Oriental standards
- Ensure the replenishment of all necessary consumables, items, supplies and ensure that all furniture, fixtures and equipment are well maintained and in perfect working condition
- Report any breakage, damage & loss to the Spa management and notify concerned Colleague/s concerning the need for repairs/ fix or additions to spa operations
- Operate equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties and follow procedures for the use of any equipment according to specifications
- Request, collect stock and supplies in accordance with par stock levels
- Maintain all departmental assets and ensure that all items are cleaned, checked out, and returned to the appropriate storage area
- Ensure spa security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors/access after cleaning hours or checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created
- Ensure the shift checklist is completed; stay current with developments in the hotel/ spa operations by reviewing the communication log book each shift; update log book for next shift
- Maintain spa knowledge and awareness with ongoing spa promotions and activities to be able to assist when approached by Guests
- Maintain full awareness and adherence of all health and safety/ hygiene control and regulations including chemicals/solutions used at work
- Maintain overall health/sanitation, and safety standards in work areas

Qualifications And Requirements
- Senior School qualification or equivalent is a must
- Hotel school graduates will be preferable
- Minimum 6 months to 1-year experience in the same position and has worked in a reputable 5-star hotel
- Previous work experience in Guest Services
- Previous experience working in the Middle East Region is an advantage
- Good understanding of Spa public area duties and ability to explain spa equipment and spa offerings
