Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

As an Intern - Stakeholder Specialist, your role typically involves supporting the team in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including clients, partners, vendors, or internal teams. You’ll assist with communications, data analysis, and other tasks that help ensure the organization meets its strategic objectives.

Here are some key skills and tasks associated with this position:

1. Communication Skills

  • Verbal Communication: Being able to clearly articulate ideas and updates in meetings, calls, and emails.
  • Written Communication: Drafting reports, email communications, and updates for stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.
  • Listening Skills: Understanding stakeholder needs and concerns, and ensuring that feedback is accurately captured and communicated to the relevant teams.

2. Relationship Management

  • Building Relationships: Assisting in developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Customer Service: Acting as a point of contact for stakeholders and addressing inquiries or concerns efficiently.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Assisting in organizing stakeholder meetings or events, ensuring all parties are well-informed and engaged.

3. Project Support & Coordination

  • Task Management: Helping manage and track progress on various stakeholder-related projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Event Coordination: Assisting in the coordination of stakeholder meetings, focus groups, or networking events.
  • Scheduling: Supporting the scheduling of meetings, calls, and activities related to stakeholder management.

4. Data Collection & Analysis

  • Stakeholder Mapping: Helping identify and categorize stakeholders by importance, influence, and interest.
  • Data Management: Assisting in collecting and organizing stakeholder-related data, such as contact information, preferences, and past engagement history.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Assisting with compiling reports on stakeholder engagement, analyzing trends, and providing insights to the team.

5. Problem-Solving

  • Identifying Issues: Helping identify potential concerns or gaps in stakeholder communication and raising them to the team.
  • Resolving Conflicts: Assisting in resolving minor issues that may arise between stakeholders and internal teams.

6. Project Management Tools & Software

  • Familiarity with CRM Systems: Understanding tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or other customer relationship management systems to track and manage stakeholder interactions.
  • Collaboration Tools: Using tools like Microsoft Teams, Slack, or Google Workspace to facilitate team communication and coordination.
  • Project Management Software: Assisting with project management platforms such as Trello, Asana, or Monday.com to track stakeholder-related tasks and deadlines.

7. Research & Reporting

  • Market Research: Assisting in gathering and analyzing information about stakeholders, industry trends, and market opportunities.
  • Competitive Analysis: Supporting the team in tracking competitor or partner activities and identifying potential impacts on stakeholder relationships.

8. Attention to Detail

  • Managing Data: Ensuring stakeholder data is accurately recorded and updated.
  • Document Preparation: Helping draft and proofread emails, reports, and meeting notes, ensuring they are error-free and aligned with the team’s objectives.

9. Adaptability

  • Learning & Growth: Being open to learning new tools, techniques, and strategies in stakeholder management.
  • Handling Change: Adapting to evolving project requirements and priorities.


Desired candidate profile

  • Supportive Role: Assisting senior team members with their stakeholder management tasks and supporting team initiatives.
  • Cross-Departmental Work: Collaborating with other departments (such as marketing, legal, or product teams) to ensure consistent stakeholder messaging.
