Roles and responsibilities
Perform conceptual, FEED, Studies, and detailed analyses and design as per design basis, project specifications, design codes and standards.
Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Apply knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and nonstandard situations
- Prepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses including design reports and procedures
- Manage own time to meet agreed deadlines and budgets and develop plans for short-term work activities in own area
- Focus on completing work within budgets
- Takes the delegated lead over the discipline project team when necessary
- Clearly communicate and explain complex issues and work to establish understanding
- Applies all relevant procedures, practices and International standards according his discipline (Static, Rotating, Package/special equipment), and applicable as per Projects requirements
- Ensure all relevantMcDermott procedures, practices and quality standards be implemented
- Perform mechanical calculations related to the respective discipline (pressure vessels preliminary calculations, rotating equipment pre dimensioning, power consumption determination, etc.)
- Perform Mechanical data sheets and equipment specifications in accordance with process and project requirements
- Preferably Registered Professional Engineer or member of professional engineering society
- Good English in writing / speaking (B2 Level minimum)
- Quality oriented and schedule conscious
- Serves as a technical reference and/or source of reliable information for the discipline
- Leadership skills and willingness to coordinate some discipline tasks
- Make recommendations to improve work process
- Give support to construction, when necessary, from office or at site
Desired candidate profile
- 10-15 yrs in oil and gas with major contractor or consultant predominantly performing detail design
- 5 years offshore projects experience
- Rotating and package engineering experience is essential
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Master Degrees Preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of many design techniques and analysis methods, and detailed knowledge of the content and application of standards codes and guidelines as applicable
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
- Preferably Registered Professional Engineer or member of professional engineering society
- Good English in writing / speaking (B2 Level minimum)
