Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate real estate and development contracts, including sales, leasing, and construction agreements.
  • Provide legal support for sales, marketing, and other commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with UAE law and company policies.
  • Advise senior management on legal risks, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements related to property development.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel and other stakeholders on litigation, disputes, and arbitration related to property matters.
  • Manage corporate transactions, including joint ventures, mergers, and acquisitions as they relate to property development.
  • Stay updated on UAE property laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Assist in developing legal strategies to support the company's growth and development initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • A minimum of 6 years post-qualification experience (PQE), with at least 1 year of experience in the UAE.
  • Proven experience with real estate, development, sales, marketing, and commercial contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE property and commercial laws.
  • Experience working with luxury property developments or large-scale construction projects is a plus.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
  • Legal Advice: Providing legal counsel to management and various departments on a wide range of issues, including contracts, compliance, and regulatory matters.

  • Contract Management: Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts and agreements to protect the organization’s interests.

  6. Policy Development: Developing and implementing internal policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and minimize risk.

  7. Training and Education: Conducting training sessions for employees on legal topics, compliance issues, and company policies.

  8. Research and Analysis: Staying updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends that may impact the organization.

  9. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of legal documents, contracts, and compliance activities.

  10. Stakeholder Communication: Communicating legal issues and developments to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

Key Skills:
