Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager - Finance to join Finance in Wild Wadi Waterpark. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Analysing monthly Profit & Loss Statement.
  • To ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly and does not have any unauthorised postings.
  • Assisting Director of Finance in preparing the monthly Forecast, Balance Sheet and other monthly reports.
  • To post all the journals required to allocate the expenses to correct cost centres as part of month end process for SBU Level.
  • Assisting to Analyst for Regional review presentation.
  • Prepare and update the results (quarterly basis) for the Finance Key Indicator Performance.
  • Update the monthly actual figures in Hyperion and Financial Management System.
  • Review and consolidated the results for the colleagues quarterly bonus, and service charges.
  • Maintain and update trackers (contracts, insurance, accruals, CAPEX) where and when required.
  • Time to time giving training to coordinators based on situation/requirements for P&L and ledger review.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Degree in Hotel Management, Accounting Degree or CIMA or Business Degree (Preferred).
  • Preferably Commerce Graduate
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous accounting experience
  • Ability to forecast Business Performance
  • Good analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel Skills, Well Versed with Oracle, Hyperion, PMS & POS Systems will be advantage

  7. Team Support: Collaborating with other finance team members and departments to facilitate financial processes and reporting.

  8. Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities for improving financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  9. Documentation: Maintaining thorough documentation of financial transactions and ensuring proper record-keeping.

  10. Training and Development: Assisting in training and mentoring junior finance staff, sharing knowledge and best practices.
