Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • We are seeking a reliable and responsible individual to join our family as a Nanny/Care Taker. As a nanny, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for our children. You will be responsible for their well-being and development, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.

    Responsibilities
  • Create a safe and stimulating environment for the children
  • Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities and outings
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children
  • Assist with homework and educational activities
  • Maintain a regular daily routine for the children
  • Monitor and promote good behavior and discipline
  • Provide age-appropriate guidance and support
  • Supervise and ensure the safety of the children at all times
  • Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a nanny or in a similar childcare role
  • Excellent knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities
  • Ability to create a safe and nurturing environment for the children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
  • First aid and CPR certification is preferred but not required
  • Organizational Skills: Managing schedules and activities for multiple children.
  • Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous childcare experience, including babysitting or working in daycare settings, is often required.
  • Background Check: Most families will request a background check and references.
  • Certifications: Training in child development, first aid, and CPR can enhance qualifications.

Desired candidate profile

  • Childcare: Supervising and caring for children, including feeding, bathing, and dressing.
  • Educational Activities: Engaging children in age-appropriate learning and play activities to promote development.
  • Household Tasks: Performing light housekeeping related to the children, such as laundry, meal preparation, and tidying up play areas.
  • Transportation: Taking children to school, activities, or appointments as needed.
  • Communication: Keeping parents informed about their children’s activities, behaviors, and any concerns.

Skills:

  • Child Development Knowledge: Understanding developmental milestones and age-appropriate activities.
  • Patience and Adaptability: Handling challenging situations with calmness and flexibility.
  • Communication Skills: Effectively interacting with children and parents.
  • First Aid/CPR Certification: Being trained to handle emergencies and ensure children’s safety.
