Medical Knowledge: Strong understanding of childhood illnesses, injuries, and common health issues that affect school-aged children.
Health Assessment: Ability to assess students' health needs, perform physical examinations, and identify signs of illness or distress.
First Aid and Emergency Response: Proficiency in providing first aid and managing emergencies, including CPR and emergency medication administration.
Health Education: Educating students and staff on health topics, including nutrition, hygiene, mental health, and disease prevention.
Communication Skills: Effective communication with students, parents, and staff to address health concerns and provide information clearly.
Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate health records, including immunizations, health screenings, and medication administration logs.
Collaboration: Working with teachers, counselors, and other health professionals to support the overall well-being of students.
Crisis Management: Skills in managing health crises, such as allergies, asthma attacks, or mental health emergencies.
Confidentiality: Understanding of privacy laws and ethical standards related to student health information.
