Roles and responsibilities
As a Technical Shop Support Engineer I - EEMC, you will provide technical support for the Emirates engine fleet and ensure that the Shop Visits are achieved at the highest level of standard as per Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommendations and Airworthiness requirements, meeting the company requirements in terms of Quality, Turn Around Time and Cost optimization.
In This Role, You Will
- Technically review the Customer/Airline work scope and associated set of documents. Provide feedback for possible changes. Customer Repair Specifications shall be used to verify the correctness of work scope levels. Cross-check verification of customer reports for system upload.
- Prepare and/or approve EEMC internal work scope that includes all the customer/airline requirements (including Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, Aircraft Maintenance Programme tasks, etc.) and translate the work to be performed on the engine from customer work scope to Job Instruction.
- Prepare and/or approve all the Task cards in EEMC ERP system (IFS solution) so Planning and the shop floor production can review and prepare the work. Supervise the supply of the task cards to the shop floor (print format or e-Task card)
- Supervise Task cards customization as necessary depending on the engine activities and feedback from Production.
- Provide continuous Technical Support to the shop floor for any enquiry related to the disassembly, inspection, repairs, tooling, capability, assembly, and testing of the engine. Support the New Repair process or the introduction of new modifications.
- Coordinate with Engine's Manufacturer to request assistance for troubleshooting, clarification on Manuals and any sort of technical support beyond EEMC scope of responsibilities.
- Accountable for the compliance of all the technical instructions provided to the shop floor, as per regulatory requirements, Maintenance Organization Exposition, Engineering Procedure Manual, Standard Operating Procedures etc.
- Supervise the review of Engine Manual revisions and Service Bulletins for Routine and Repair Task Card amendments.
- Provide support for the reconciliation of Shop Visit Report and Invoices on monthly basis with finance department.
- Coordinate the release of engines after test and provide all the re-delivery documents such as but not limited to Life Limited Part status, Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives reports, AMP tasks list, Assembly Status Report, Carry Forward sheet, Ship loose, Ship Short, final release certificate, and organize / upload on the documents to the designated portals.
Desired candidate profile
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Experience: Engineering / Other: 10+ Years
- Education: Degree of Honours in Aeronautical / Avionics / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering and/or holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence for 5 years.
Knowledge / Skills
- Experience of which a minimum of 7 years in Technical Support or equivalent.
- Thorough knowledge of latest technical developments and industry trends on respective Engine Systems.
- Ability to analyse and synthesise the technical information for implementation in cost effective ways.
- Demonstrable experience in managing complex tasks and decision making in a fast-paced environment.
- Should have experience in engine work scoping and job instructions authoring.
- Excellent drafting / report writing skills.
