Roles and responsibilities
We're have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Controller to join our Skywards team in Dubai looking after our Air Partners portfolio. The Commercial Controller will be responsible for executing the strategy for Emirates Skywards airline partners, expanding the portfolio and maximising revenues, while optimising member proposition, engagement, and experience.
The Commercial Controller will also deliver to the budgeted targets and extract maximum value of the airline partnership portfolio through continuous performance and effectiveness monitoring to drive partner revenue and member engagement. You will also proactively engage in additional initiatives aligned with strategic and financial goals.
What You Will Do
- Monitor performance and analyse effectiveness of existing partnerships to ensure that all agreements are competitive and drive revenue and overall profit. Track commercial, redemption and ancillary revenue as well as evaluate pay ins and pay outs and ensure that accrual costs and redemption margins are financially feasible.
- Track and monitor Airline Partnership flown and forward bookings and recommend changes to member offering or pricing structure to drive long term profitability of the partnerships. Work with the Skywards Analytics Team to improve existing dashboards/reports to ensure regular updates and data accuracy.
- Develop and maintain partner relationships and oversee day-to-day operations of assigned Airline Partnership portfolio and ensure all systems, teams, info and processes are up to date with latest contract changes. Grow airline/loyalty revenue through increased customer engagement rates and enhanced member experience.
- Continuously enhance member proposition, business processes, systems and legal documentation where required. Regularly update both internal and external communication channels to ensure that all information accessible to Skywards members and internal teams is up to date and precise.
- Address all partner or member inquiries, technical failures, billing issues, fraudulent activities, and consult with relevant Emirates departments and within partner organisation to ensure issues are resolved and completed.
- Gather necessary data and develop business cases to estimate the uptake of the new partnership proposition, potential revenues, costs, and margin. Prepare the presentation and forecasts for Skywards Deal Reviews.
- Work with various stakeholders, including Skywards Analytics, Finance, Legal, Strategy Enablement teams as well as Revenue Optimization, to ensure smooth launch process - craft a precise, comprehensive partnership agreement; formulate concise briefs outlining the marketing messaging as well as the technical implementation; assist with resolving any technical or user experience issues prior to launch.
- Proactively research and stay up to date with market trends and innovative practices and provide insightful suggestions/ideas. Support the Partnership Manager with ad-hoc projects and analysis, presenting findings and updates to Partnerships team and Skywards SLT.

- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent), in a commercial, business management
Experience
- 5+ years experience in airline management and/or relationship Management/Account Management
- 5+ years experience in loyalty program, analytics or finance field is preferred
