Ajman University is seeking an Assistant/Associate Research Professor to join its Healthy and Sustainable Built Environment Research Center. Candidates with a background in Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics, particularly focused on building energy or indoor air quality, are preferred.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of peer-reviewed publications and experience in consultation, as well as participation in scholarly activities aligned with the center’s mission. Additionally, the candidate will be involved in managing the center’s initiatives, focusing on building energy and indoor air quality, and teaching relevant courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Located a short drive from the vibrant city of Dubai, Ajman University is one of the leading institutions in the United Arab Emirates.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Ph.D. from a reputable university
- Demonstrated research and publication record
- Experience in building-related research is essential
- Collaborative and interdisciplinary research experience is a plus
- Expertise in building energy or indoor air quality
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality research in your field and publish findings in reputable journals and conferences
- Provide consultative expertise to local industry through approved partnership projects
- Establish and maintain effective relationships across the university and community
- Seek external research funding
- Conduct training courses for industry professionals, students, and faculty
- Inspire and motivate students and colleagues to achieve personal growth and success
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Teach in both undergraduate and graduate programs
