We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal & Compliance Officer to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our company operates in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
They will also provide legal advice and support to various departments within the organization. The Legal & Compliance Officer will play a crucial role in identifying and mitigating legal and regulatory risks as well as developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
Roles & Responsibility:
- Develop implement and enforce compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to relevant laws regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of noncompliance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Provide legal advice and support to management and various departments on a wide range of legal issues including contract interpretation employment law intellectual property and corporate governance.
- Draft review and negotiate contracts agreements and other legal documents.
- Stay uptodate on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the companys operations and advise management accordingly.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed on complex legal matters and litigation.
- Conduct training sessions for employees to increase awareness of compliance requirements and best practices.
- Investigate allegations of misconduct or violations of company policies and take appropriate disciplinary action when necessary.
- Support the PRO in connection with works related to regulatory agencies and government authorities.
Job Requirements & Skills:
- Proven experience in legal compliance or related role.
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws regulations and industry standards in the UAE specifically and across the
- GCC region in general.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to interpret complex legal documents.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using compliance related web portals programs and other relevant tools.
