- To effectively manage a range of general insurance matters required by dans to effectively provide air traffic services excluding staff health insurance.
- Drafts contracts and agreements in support of the Manager Procurement and Contracts.
- To coordinate with internal departments for efficient processing of tenders.
- To review and maintain all insurance documents provided by contractors.
- To maintain appropriate and costeffective insurance programs.
- To provide information to management on dans insurance requirements to enable decision making and effective implementation.
- To obtain quotations from the insurance market to support dans business commercialization prospects.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience:
- At least 45 years experience in insurance and contracts related work.
- Knowledge of various lines of insurance including but not limited to aviation property workers compensation motor vehicles etc.
- Risk management.
- Demonstrate attention to details standards and timeliness in activities and tasks.
- Confident in making independent decisions in a timely manner within general operating guidelines.
- Knowledge of insurance market trends and pricing.
- The jobholder should have at least 5 years recent experience of insurance and risk management.
- Experience of aviation insurance is an advantage.
Skills:
- The jobholder will be educated to a bachelors degree from an accredited University in Business Administration Commerce Economics or an equivalent degree.
- A professional qualification in insurance.
- The jobholder must be fluent in written and spoken English.
