Here at XA Group we are looking for a candidate with a deep understanding of automotive repair processes including painting dent repair and mechanical work. This role demands extensive knowledge of the tools materials and techniques involved to ensure the highest quality of work from our team of painters mechanics and denters. The ideal candidate will oversee repair estimates accurately identify necessary parts through thorough damage assessments and ensure all repairs meet the highest industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Duties:
- Inspect damaged vehicles to assess the extent of damage and determine the necessary repairs. Oversee and verify repair estimates created by the service advisor including labour costs and required parts.
- Lead and manage the daytoday activities of the bodyshop ensuring that all repair and paint jobs are completed to the highest standards.
- Work closely with technicians to provide guidance and training on best practices in repair and painting techniques.
- Implement a quality control system to track and reduce repeat repairs.
- Develop and implement SOPs for repair and paint jobs.
- Introduce continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and reduce waste.
- Manage parts and paint inventory ensuring timely orders to avoid delays.
- Conduct inventory audits and negotiate with suppliers to reduce costs.
- Track parts and materials usage to minimize waste.
- Manpower:
- Recruit train and retain skilled technicians.
- Provide training and guidance to technicians on best practices.
- Manage the holiday calendar for bodyshop technicians ensuring adequate coverage throughout the year to meet operational demands.
- Implement employee performance management processes.
- Financial:
- Manage petty cash and prepare the annual budget with the Bodyshop accountant.
- Collaborate with accounts for accurate invoicing and financial reconciliation.
- Forecast manpower and equipment needs.
- Implement costreduction strategies.
- Customer and Client Relations:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients handling inquiries resolving complaints and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement customer retention strategies including loyalty programs referral incentives and service packages.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new business opportunities.
- Reporting and Compliance:
- Provide regular updates to senior management on the performance of the bodyshop and any areas of concern.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all bodyshop activities including repair estimates invoices purchase orders and customer communications.
Requirements:
- 1. Bachelors degree in Automotive Engineering Business Management or a related field (preferred).
- 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Bodyshop management role or similar position within the automotive industry in UAE. Preferably someone with a large companys experience
- 3. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to automotive repairs such as OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) guidelines to ensure that all work meets required standards
- 4. Certifications in automotive repair or related fields such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification can be an advantage.
