- Lead and oversee all construction activities related to Metro and Railways projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Provide strategic guidance and technical support to project teams, contractors, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively to achieve timely completion and delivery within established parameters.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor progress, quality of work, and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Resolve technical issues, conflicts, and challenges that may arise during construction, implementing effective solutions to minimize disruptions.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to address concerns, provide project updates, and maintain positive relationships.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and site staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the team.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is preferred.
- Professional accreditation or licensure as a Civil Engineer is advantageous.
- Extensive hands-on experience (20+ years) as a Resident Engineer or similar role in Metro and Railways projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, technical specifications, and industry best practices related to transportation infrastructure.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive project success.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in preparing reports, technical documents, and presentations.
