IT Senior Systems Engineer

• Design and manage VEEAM backup infrastructure including backup jobs, cloud backups, copy jobs, Sure backup, upgrades, and tape offsite.
• Support, manage and upgrade Citrix infrastructure
• Perform system administration for hype converged systems, video conferencing systems, and VMware Infrastructure.
• Monitor and Track threats, alerts, security vulnerabilities; perform regular reviews of security in alignment with policy goals.
• Resolve complex end-user escalation incidents
• Ensure optimal system and server uptime, availability, reliability, and security.
• Sustain configuration & security management, including patching, automation, hardening, and system upgrades.
• Assess organizational vulnerabilities within the designated area of responsibility.
• Coordinate with all required stakeholders and ensure ownership of the projects assigned to the holder of this role
• Perform administration of the antivirus solutions.
• Document policies and procedures relevant to the tasks being performed
• Diagnose and resolve system issues, responding to server outages when necessary.
• Ensure system reliability through monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Managing Active Directory and Group policies.
• Ensure infrastructure changes comply with established guidelines and procedures.
• Develop plans and schedules for system deployment, defining requirements.
• Liaise with 3rd party vendors, IT providers, etc. for specific requirements.

Other Responsibilities:

• Document best practices and support procedures
• Participate in internal and external audits related to the area of the role and execute necessary actions as per the timelines.
• Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend maintenance
• Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation
• Interact with customers and staff at the technical level, as required.
