Shift Management
Plan the plant operations’ shifts to ensure availability of the required staffing and skills.
Organize the workload among the shift teams to ensure balanced activities by the teams per shift to meet the respective targets.
Lead the daily communications for shift and operations updates to ensure consistent and timely information cascaded to the team.
Auditing of the shift duties according to operation checklists and suggest necessary update, and review of daily checklist and SOPs implementation.
Provide the team with support and guidance in relevance to all activities, policy and procedures Production Planning & Control
Lead the daily operations to meet the production targets, while ensuring compliance to the respective plant practices in the areas of HSE, Asset Integrity, Process, Product, and Technology.
Direct, co-ordinate and supervise the Plant activities and assigned personnel on shift. Perform management functions at the level established by Senior Management.
Plan and update operation schedule and communicates this with the planning team.
Interface with Production Planning & Participate in the meetings with OPCO’s on operations & coordination issues.
Internal Asset Management
Lead the team to support safe and proper plant working conditions to safeguard the company’s team, assets, products, and environment.
Review the Logs of the Shift Supervisors with emphasis on ensuring quality and detail presentation of data. Submit technical reports on Plant trips, abnormal operations/accidents/near misses.
Participate in root cause analysis and propose modifications to equipment to improve efficiency. Include studying various problems related to the operating equipment, making recommendations for improvement. Authorize for implementing Engineering and other Changes in Plant.
In close co-operations with Production engineer(s) and Shift Supervisor, follow-up Utilities plant operations regarding, plant optimisation, equipment status, product specifications, and asset related stakeholders.
Follow-up run length and performance for critical equipment
Monitor performance of equipment and process units and initiate changes to improve plant reliability/operability/maintainability.
Monitor performance of equipment and process units and suggest improvements to enhance plant reliability. He is the focal point for Co-ordination with External parties supply. Maintenance Coordination
Monitor the status of all equipment within the Plant through frequent inspection to ensure that equipment is in the best possible condition with relation to safety and performance
Direct and control the preparation of Plant equipment for maintenance & overhaul activities ensuring safe working conditions.
Give guidelines for preparing instructions and plans (SOP’s) to isolate and prepare equipment and/or process units for safe maintenance activities. Updates Operating Manuals as necessary to reflect gained operating experience and new equipment.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Minimum Qualification
University Degree In Chemical Engineering Or Equivalent Qualifications.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
Minimum of 10 years of experience in plant operations with at least 5 years of leading rules.
Good Problem Solving, Analysing and Leadership skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, multi-cultural workforce exposure
Demonstrate presentation skill.
