- Carry out routine and preventive maintenance work, repair and testing of equipment in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and standards to fulfil the requirements of the work request or work order.
- Carry out preventive maintenance activities maintenance and participate in the assigned plant shutdown activities and ensure timely completion of job activities.
- Verify completed maintenance activities to ensure that the job is performed as per requirement and complete the maintenance activity sheet
- Carry out inspection and exercise vigilance to identify any developing problem in the area assigned and report any problems.
- Trouble shoot, repair calibrate and test various types of process control instruments and relay logic, to keep the instrumentation systems as designed.
- Perform preventive and emergency maintenance on all equipment on site as well as during machine scheduled or unscheduled shutdowns to ensure the availability of all equipment in reliable conditions during running and prevent unforeseen trips.
- Perform field and/or system modifications of control elements and/or control loops as per the plant change requests and assist to update all related plant drawings to reflect the actual changes thus enhancing the plant operation in line with the management of change of procedure.
- Assist in upgrading and retrofitting of new control instruments to the existing panels in the field and main control room as and when required for completion of modifications and the PCR in line with standards.
Minimum Qualification
Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
At least 4 years of relevant experiences in preventive, corrective and troubleshooting maintenance and plant instrument
