Embedded Developer - Automotive

Looking for an expert Embedded Developer who has extensive experience with BSP to work with our Automotive client in Ottawa, ON!

Description:

The Ford BSP and Driver Development Team is seeking an embedded software and test automation developer that is experienced in the areas of BSP and bootloaders. The range of projects the candidate will be working on will be infotainment, connectivity and other HW modules in the next generation of FORD vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement BSP/bootloader features as part of a larger team-based software project
• Implement automated test suites using python for maximum coverage
• Develop and maintain software tools and features to assist in automated testing
• Participate in design reviews
• Assist with product verification and validation, troubleshooting and testing
• Communicate problems early to team members and offer solutions

7+ Years in the following:

• BSP/Bootloaders
• Linux Kernel Development experience
• Strong debugging skills
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent field of study (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)
• 1+ years of experience in embedded development
• Proven C and Python language experience
• Capable of reading electronic schematics
• Excellent problem solving and intuitive debugging skills.
• Experience with version control tools (e.g. SVN, Git)
