What you ll be doing as a Senior Audit Associate
- Support 1-3+ Audit Associates on any given engagement with workpaper preparation, workpaper review, substantive testing, analytical testing and other various training
- Manage and prioritize 1-4 engagements, at a given time, through issuance of financial statements and wrap of the file
- Work on various types of engagements across an array of industries including, but not limited to: Financial Services, Nonprofits, Healthcare, M&D, Insurance, Private Schools, Technology/SaaS (Public & Private), Media & Entertainment, Real Estate, Life Sciences, Cannabis, Employee Benefit Plans, among others.
- Help the Managers/Partners with the planning stages of the audit including planning communications to the client, audit request listing, risk assessment, planning meeting, etc.
- Fieldwork testing will include complex accounting areas within revenue, equity, deferred compensation, debt, various sensitive accruals, etc.
- Research technical accounting topics/standards related to ASC 606, ASC 842 and any other new ASU s
- Act as a liaison between the client and the engagement team
- Our Seniors average between 44-46 hours/week in a given year
Requirements
- CPA Certification or progress towards CPA Certification
- 1 Busy season as an Audit Senior at a public accounting firm (preferably Top 200 firm)
- 2-3+ years total audit experience (preferably Top 200 firm)
- Great attitude, willingness to take ownership, and the desire to be a future Partner or Leader
