The Role:

As a School Counselor you will play a vital role in promoting the wellbeing and success of our students. You will work with a diverse range of students from grade levels in individual and group settings offering guidance and support on academic social and emotional matters.

Responsibilities:

• Individual Counseling: Providing confidential oneonone counseling to students facing academic challenges personal difficulties or social conflicts.

• Academic Advising: Assisting students in developing academic goals creating effective study plans and selecting appropriate courses.

• Career Counseling: Exploring students interests and aptitudes guiding them in career exploration and providing information on postsecondary education options.

• SocialEmotional Learning: Leading workshops and activities that promote socialemotional skills development resilience and positive mental health.

• Collaboration: Working closely with teachers administrators parents and community resources to ensure comprehensive support for students.
• Crisis Intervention: Addressing urgent issues and providing immediate support to students in crisis situations.

• Program Development: Contributing to the development and implementation of schoolwide counseling programs and initiatives.

• Data Analysis: Monitoring student progress and utilizing data to inform counseling practices and interventions.

Requirements:

• Masters degree in School Counseling or a related field.

• State licensure or certification as a School Counselor.

• Minimum of number years of experience working with students in a school setting.

• Strong clinical and counseling skills including active listening empathy and problemsolving.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students parents and colleagues.

• Proficiency in individual and group counseling techniques.

• Culturally competent and responsive to the diverse needs of students.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals to develop and implement support systems for students.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Proficient in using technology for documentation and communication.
