Staff Nurse - Surgical Clinic

Performs a range of medical procedures within the specified scope of practice, including Bladder Sonography, Cystometrogram (Urodynamics study), Intermittent Catheterization, removal of Skin Sutures, Stoma Care services, Uroflowmetry, Wound Assessment/Care, and Intravesical instillation. Handles the Insertion/Removal of Indwelling Catheters, provides assistance during Cystoscopy and Incision and Drainage procedures, supports the Excision of lumps and Biopsy procedures, assists in Vasectomy procedures, and aids in the Change/Insertion of Suprapubic Catheters. Supports in the Excision of Thrombosed Haemorrhoids, assists the Excision of Ingrown Nails, and aids in Cystoscopy-assisted Stent removal.

Position Responsibility:

Unit Specific:

•Conducts Bladder Sonography within the scope of practice.

•Conducts Cystometrogram (Urodynamics study).

•Performs Intermittent Catheterization procedures.

•Carries out Skin Suture Removal tasks.

•Provides Stoma Care services.

•Conducts Uroflowmetry assessments.

•Performs Wound Assessment and Care duties.

•Administers Intravesical instillation treatments.

•Inserts or removes Indwelling Catheters.

•Aids in Cystoscopy procedures.

•Assists in Incision and Drainage (L&D) procedures.

•Supports in the removal of lumps through Excision.

•Assists with Biopsy procedures.

•Aids in Vasectomy surgeries.

•Assists in the Change or Insertion of Suprapubic Catheters.

•Assists in the removal of Thrombosed Haemorrhoids through Excision.

•Supports in the removal of Ingrown toenails through Excision.

•Assists in the removal of Stents during Cystoscopy procedures.

Position Qualification:

•Bachelor's degree in nursing (minimum of three (3) years full-time course duration) or

•Must hold a valid License/Registration to practice in their home country and/or country of last employment (where applicable)

•Must hold a minimum of a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification or others according to the scope of practice
