Job Description
As a Biologist, you will lead or assist with biological surveys and monitoring during construction activities for rare/sensitive flora and fauna. Responsibilities include conducting other biological surveys, studies, and monitoring as required. The role involves daily field work, preparation of daily findings reports, and submission and analysis of geospatial data. Candidates must be self-motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team in remote, rugged, and harsh conditions. A clean driving record and a valid driver’s license are essential. Candidates should own a fieldwork capable vehicle or be able to rent a truck for field use. Temporary relocation to specific areas may be required. Additional duties may involve construction area flagging, avian/raptor surveys, vegetation surveys, threatened and endangered species habitat screening, wetland identification, and noxious and invasive plant surveys.
