You will be updated with latest job alerts via email1. Establishing short- and medium-term operational goals and plans for the Training and Development Department, and aligning them with human resources management plans in accordance with Dubai Customs policies and procedures.
2. Contribute to improving training and development activities at Dubai Customs by providing information to integrate effective standards, strategies and procedures related to training and development into the annual strategic and operational plan for human resources management, in line with Dubai Customs’ strategies to achieve Dubai Customs’ mission, vision and values.
3. Contributing to the development of policies and procedures as well as implementing training and development methodologies and techniques to raise efficiency and productivity in the organization to set measurable and achievable goals.
Finance
4. Prepare the annual budget for the Training and Development Department and obtain the necessary approvals, as well as monitor the budget implementation process in order to ensure proper use, in accordance with financial policies.
Processes
5. Ensure that training and development services are developed, delivered and evaluated to improve training activities
6. Supervising the development, implementation and management of institutional and individual training needs analysis process frameworks to understand the needs and requirements of the training process.
7. Undertaking the development, implementation and management of frameworks for career development and competency-based succession planning to develop behavioral and technical competencies among employees.
8. Ensure the development, implementation and management of employee development programs, including administrative development and graduate development programs to encourage employees to improve their educational qualifications and skills.
9. Supervising induction and orientation training programs and practical training programs to support employees in understanding and performing confidently and efficiently
10. Ensure the implementation of best international practices and standards in resource development and training management functions to conduct training operations in accordance with global standards
11. Monitor, evaluate and improve training and development programmes, processes and systems in order to achieve the effectiveness of training and career development
12. Integrate training tools, methodologies and strategies including technology-based learning, hands-on learning and simulation to make learning and implementation easier
13. Ensure that training and development curricula and teaching resources are developed and used in an effective manner in order to organize and determine dates for conducting the training and career development process.
14. Oversee the development, management and review of customer awareness and training programs to ensure that understanding is enhanced
