Preparing legal manuals, correspondence, circulars, and awareness bulletins on customs violations, smuggling crimes, and penalties to enhance awareness and communication of relevant changes.
Contribute to developing or improving the customs issues management system to enhance the department’s ability to handle issues effectively and efficiently.
Prepare drafts of decisions, bulletins, and instructions to ensure that responses to external inquiries are informed and legally correct.
Follow up and update legal cases to ensure they are resolved effectively, including registering customs cases for follow-up and providing feedback to customs centers to reduce the escalation of cases.
Updating and preparing reports, cases, fine decisions, and contracts periodically to facilitate effective communication and coordination with other departments.
Summarizing reports and information related to violators and smugglers to provide interested parties with this information, which helps prevent such activities.
Facilitating the reconciliation process between Dubai Customs and the offending parties and ensuring support for the development of cases in the courts or prosecution by providing the necessary information and support with written approval.
Implementing and developing the legal department strategy through action plans in line with Dubai Customs’ vision to ensure strategic compatibility.
Create an electronic archive of information on cases for future reference and to obtain statistical information from cases.
Representing Dubai Customs before external authorities to ensure the protection of the organization’s interests in legal matters, and signing on behalf of Dubai Customs before a notary public on contracts, agreements, and certificates.
12. Performing any duties assigned by the direct manager in a proper and timely manner with reliability, integrity, and ensuring that the assigned tasks are completed to the fullest extent.
