Job Summary:
The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing managing and monitoring project schedules coordinating with various stakeholders and ensuring the timely and costeffective completion of civil construction projects. This role requires strong analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with project teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Scheduling:
- Develop detailed project schedules using planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Establish project timelines milestones and deadlines in collaboration with project managers and other stakeholders.
- Regularly update and maintain project schedules ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Resource Allocation:
- Identify and allocate necessary resources including labor materials and equipment to meet project requirements.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of resources.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track project progress against the baseline schedule and identify any deviations.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports including variance analysis and corrective action plans.
- Conduct regular site visits to verify progress and ensure compliance with project plans.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and issues promptly.
Coordination and Communication:
- Liaise with project managers engineers contractors and clients to ensure clear communication of project timelines and requirements.
- Participate in project meetings and provide scheduling expertise and guidance.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including schedules progress reports and change orders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in planning and scheduling within the civil construction industry.
- Proven experience with planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.

- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Knowledge of construction processes methods and standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
