Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess and diagnose vision problems, eye diseases, and other abnormalities. • Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids as needed to correct vision issues. • Detect and diagnose eye-related health issues such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. • Monitor and manage ongoing eye health issues through regular check-ups and follow-up appointments. • Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries, such as LASIK or cataract surgery. • Educate patients on proper eye care practices and preventive measures to maintain good eye health. • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as ophthalmologists and primary care physicians, to provide comprehensive patient care.
