Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities:

• Trains drivers on how to conduct daily reporting including vehicle inspection reports, hours of service reports, incident reports, and any other required documentation
• Maintains all records of MSHA, EPA, DOT, OSHA and USCG requirement tracking Tracks, compiles, and reports required Federal, State, and Internal documentation.
• Conducts regular facility inspections to include evaluation of safe work behaviors of all personnel
• Demonstrates, promotes, and facilitates a safe environment always
• Provide administrative support to Fleet Safety & Maintenance Manager Provides direction, guidance, and training, and establishes schedules for location managers, following consistent training procedures
• Leading classroom training for new hire safety training
• Ability to comprehend and follow all company policies and procedures
  

Requirements:

• 2 years minimum safety experience required
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or at least two years related experience and/or training
• OSHA and FMCSA experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude and be professional. Strong customer service and communication skills required
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Company’s handbook and training manuals as well as company policies, procedures, and guidelines that are added and/or revised as necessary
