Job Description

  • Provides consultation to the client as needed, focusing on best learning practices to address training needs.
  • Plans, records, tracks, and manages learning solutions from start to finish according to learning project management standards (ADDIE cycle), including managing internal stakeholder feedback to meet needs and expectations and maintaining project documentation.
  • Conducts learning needs analysis to identify challenges or opportunities within the client's businesses and the benefits they will receive by addressing these needs.
  • Identifies metrics to track the effectiveness of learning solutions in achieving business outcomes, along with key behaviors necessary for desired outcomes.
  • Identifies processes and systems needed to monitor, encourage, reinforce, and reward performance of critical behaviors, as well as details about the audience and learning intervention.
  • Conducts Performance Gap Analyses when necessary to determine if learning can address business needs and confirms other causes and solutions for performance gaps.
  • Coordinates with internal stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals for moving to the design phase.
  • Provides detailed design insights on knowledge, skills, and attitudes to guide what the Airside Fire Services workforce needs to learn and to form the basis for learning objectives.
  • Designs the learning Value Chain Planner, a blueprint for developing the learning solution based on information gathered during needs analysis.
  • Details learning outcomes, topics under each learning domain (knowledge, skills, and attitude), links of learning outcomes to critical behaviors and business outcomes, delivery methods, a high-level description of learning activities, assessment methods, duration of learning events, and evaluation levels, domains, methods, and tools.
  • Ensures learning solutions align with the client's learning standards, values, and behaviors.
  • Designs engaging learning interventions, activities, and compelling course content using adult learning design methods to create a positive learning environment that enhances knowledge, behavior, and application retention and transfer.
  • Oversees or delivers pilots of new courses as needed to align with business needs and expectations.
  • Maintains proficiency in various learning authoring tools/technology and stays current with design trends/thinking to enhance the learning experience.
  • Assembles content as described in the learning design phase, adhering to learning quality standards (plagiarism, copyright, branding, etc.).
  • Develops supporting material per the clients' learning standards (lesson plans, visual aids, activity sheets, etc.) to ensure an impactful learning experience.
  • Meets learning design benchmarks per industry best practice.
  • Facilitates instructor-led sessions (both face-to-face and virtual) for employees as required.
  • Designs assessment methods (formative and summative) and evaluation mechanisms at levels 1 to 3.
  • Assesses learner knowledge and skills acquisition during instructor-led sessions.
  • Provides consultation on transfer of learning and workplace readiness.
  • Uses evaluation results to modify/design content and improve courses.
  • Evaluates and report progress to stakeholders.
