The Assistant Manager for the Security & Loss Prevention Department will be responsible for
safeguarding the assets of the company, reducing fraud activities, and minimizing financial losses
due to fraudulent activities. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the
security loss prevention team, implementing fraud prevention strategies, shrinkage reduction and
collaboration.
● Ensure that you understand, align performance and actions with, and can clearly articulate the
vision and values of the S&LP department and the business. Flexible to work weekends and/or
overnight shifts, as necessary.
● Budget Management: Assisting in the preparation and management of the department's budget.
Monitoring and mitigate cost control related to security operations and loss prevention activities.
● Conduct Security Compliance audits helping to ensure physical standards are in place.
● Emergency Response and Crisis Management: Developing and implementing emergency
response plans and protocols. Coordinating and responding to security-related emergencies or crises, ensuring the safety and well-being of employees and customers.
● Prevention Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive theft, fraud and
manipulation prevention strategies tailored to the e-commerce environment to reduce losses
targeted customers, sellers, and staff.
● Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities at the facility and within the operations and recommend preventive measures.
● Data Analysis and Profiling: Prepare and present reports on security incidents, fraud trends,
and mitigation strategies to senior management. Analyze data to identify patterns and trends
related to online fraud and security breaches. Implement corrective actions and improvements
based on analysis and findings.
● Team Leadership and management: Train and Develop and Manage the security and loss
prevention team. Schedule and assign tasks to ensure efficient monitoring and response to
security incidents and conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
● Availability and Coordination: Coordinate with Government agencies at site level as well as the
regulatory authorities for all security related equipment and subjects, (e.g., SIRA, PSBD) Act as
point of contact for law enforcement authorities. Also, for emergency or critical circumstances.
● Effectively manage security services vendor for SLA adherence and conduct training for
security guards on S&LP processes.
● Investigation: Conduct preliminary analysis and subsequent investigation of losses both internal & external.
● Conduct interviews when any cases of policy violations arise, including internal and external theft, reporting investigation results.
● Escalate all critical incidents to business partners (SLP leadership, Operations, HR, Legal, Safety, etc.)
● Manage SLP JIRA Tickets assigned and follow to ensure the agreed SLA is adhered to.
● Effectively use resources for data, CCTV, and other surveillance, for purposes of loss analysis
and investigations.
● Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to security and loss
prevention.
● Technology Integration: Stay abreast of technological advancements and integrate innovative
security solutions where applicable.
● Build effective working relationship within team & manage stakeholders in the business to
drive and closure of recommendations and management action plans. Effectively partnering
with internal & External customers in evaluating current and future security service processes
and initiatives.
What you'll need:
● Previous Background in Security Management, Ex Military, Police.
● Must be able to communicate in English and Competent in writing in English and any
other Languages would be an advantage
● Develop and deliver training programs to enhance overall security awareness within the
company.
