Safety Manager - Job Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to oversee and enhance the organization's safety programs, ensuring the highest safety and compliance standards within the asphalt maintenance and parking lot management industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for
- **Developing and Implementing Safety Programs ** Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety protocols and programs in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- **Risk Assessment ** Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- **Training and Education ** Develop and deliver safety training and education programs to employees, ensuring all team members are informed about safety policies and procedures.
- **Accident Investigation ** Lead investigations into accidents and near-miss incidents to determine causes and develop preventative strategies.
- **Compliance Monitoring ** Monitor compliance with safety procedures and regulations and perform regular safety audits and inspections.
- **Emergency Response Planning ** Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and contact information.
- **Safety Communication ** Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related issues, providing guidance and support to management and staff.
- **Record Keeping and Reporting ** Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents and training and prepare reports on safety performance for senior management.
- **Continuous Improvement ** Continuously review and update safety policies and practices to adapt to new regulations and best practices in the industry.
**Qualifications **
- Bachelor’s degree in safety management, occupational health, engineering, or related field.
- Professional certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, ASP) preferred.
- Proven experience in safety management within the construction, asphalt, or related industry.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
