Job Description
Basic requirement
The consultant will drive the collation of requirements, the as-is situation at Europol and devise proposals for operationalise of development/testing/release/maintenance work on AI/ML powered solutions (either custom-built or COTS) in a highly secure, compliant environment. The consultant will identify which different AI/ML tools and frameworks are in use across different teams and use that as the starting point to devise a target approach.

Requirements
The consultant will perform the following tasks/services:
- Identify and document the as-is situation at Europol for AI/ML powered solutions.
- Identify and document requirements applicable.
- Leverage market trends, best practices and available toolkits/solutions to devise, document and propose an approach for the SDLC of these solutions.
- Provide architecture and ICT management at Europol with recommendations on the approach to be taken.
Mandatory requirements:
- More than 9 years of experience in devising solid, enterprise IT grade approaches for new methods and solutions.
- At least 3 projects where AI and specifically ML powered solutions are devised, designed, built and deployed.
- At least 3 projects where AI and ML solution governance (policies, SDLC steps, QA work) has been conducted by the consultant.
- Good knowledge of AI and ML methodologies.
- Good knowledge of AI and ML development/testing/deployment frameworks and toolkits (ex PyTorch, H2O, etc.).
- Good knowledge of AI and ML data processing steps (data preparation, feature engineering, ML modelling, etc.).
