Client Accountant required for a specialised international financial services company, operating in multiple ;
Responsibilities will include:
posting and reconciling transactions, including bank, assets, securities and non-cash transactions on a multi-currency bookkeeping system
maintaining client records to enable timely production of financial statements
liaising with administrators regarding bookkeeping discrepancies and queries
reviewing the minute books, statutory records, trust documents and correspondence files of the clients of the Trust Companies for which financial statements are prepared
assisting in maintaining the integrity of accounting records for clients
ensuring AUM values are input each quarter for all portfolios on Asset Register
ensuring KPIs are targets are met each month maintaining a sound technical knowledge of our various computer systems
reviewing exception reports on a daily basis and clearing exceptions arising
attending to queries efficiently and promptly
ensuring compliance, procedures and policies are being followed
adopting a high-quality culture to minimise error ensuring quality service levels of and high standards are delivered
fostering a zero-loss/error client satisfaction
Requirements
university degree or diploma in business and a recognised accounting qualification or three years accounting experience, preferably in a Trust environment
knowledge of Guernseys and Mauritius regulatory environment strong knowledge of computerised accounting systems
thorough knowledge of individual clients accounting needs
general knowledge of trust and banking practices
good communication and presentation skills
proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of
