Sales Application engineer

• To accompany Sales Team for site survey, collecting warehousing and storage needs from customers.
• Anlysing the warehouse and racking requirements and providing an optimized solution to the sales team/customers in order to achieve business.
• Preparing the drawing and racking layout for the warehouse with the help of AutoCAD System in order to complete business proposals.
• Interacting with customer for any modification in the warehousing and storage solutions in order to meet any changes required by customer.
• Drawing up the list of BOQ and costing required for sales.
• Preparing sales offers for stock units.
• Advises Stores to inspect the goods upon arrival on site. In case of damaged or missed items reported, corrective action is to be taken. Prepares receipt of goods and advise CBU for costing.
• Records the sales Order in the Oracle system and requests Accounts Dept for credit hold release, Invoice and arranges deliveries.
• Selection of material handling equipment and preparing costing required for sales.
• Visiting customer along with sales for technical clarification.
• Preparation of presentation, walk through video graphic images of racks and 3D modelling for Sales Engineer.
• Negotiating with manufacturer for price and delivery.
• Managing racking and shelving installation at site meeting the contract specifications.
• Managing product warranty between customers and principals ensuring signing off and acceptance letter from customers.
• Finding local supplier as an alternative to agency product (with consent from principal) to enhance business proposal and improve profitability.
  

Requirements

• A Diploma of bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical)
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in Racking and Shelving Industry.
• Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
