• Maintain inventory of district-owned tools, equipment, and materials.
• Perform all scheduled preventive maintenance and cleaning on all kitchen and laundry equipment as needed.
• Install new kitchen and laundry equipment and systems when required.
• Repair, replace, or calibrate controls, thermostats, switches, fuses, and electrical wiring.
• Detect needed repairs on equipment following established inspection procedures.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve problems.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment’s repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various types of kitchens and Laundry equipment’s systems.
• Knowledge in the operation of electrical control systems.
• Receive and complete work orders.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material.
• Relocate and expand existing kitchen and laundry equipment and systems as required.
• Select material and hardware and make time and materials estimates.
• Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
• Respond to emergency calls as needed.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for all kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Maintain accurate records on material and labour used.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
